Second Commis Chef in Qatar – Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is welcoming you for different posts. We are hiring a Second Commis Chef for Qatar Airways. Responsible for ensuring all food requirements for F & B locations are prepared as per the production plan and meals prepared are as per standard recipes and within HACCP guidelines to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet company standards and QDFC guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and freshness.
  • Monitor the quality of incoming raw materials, reporting any issues to the Sous Chef.
  • Implement effective food cost control measures, including stock rotation, dating, and portion control.
  • Minimize food waste through proper storage, labelling, and mise-en-place techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Prevent cross-contamination by following proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production, inventory, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Qualifications and skills

  • A successful candidate should possess
  • High school graduation
  • Certificate in Catering or Professional Cookery
  • HACCP Training
  • Previously worked as a Commis Chef
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
