Job Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized field experience and support to achieve the underlying objectives of the application of corporate governance best practices.
  • Review and develop a deep understanding of the RTA core business strategy to ensure that the resources are aligned with organizational goals and objectives for smooth business strategy implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a benchmarking framework and establish strong relations with benchmarking partners through conducting field visits and adopting the best practices and cultural environment of RTA needs and environment.
  • Identify and prepare terms of reference (TOR) for potential development projects under the recognized international standards and excellence framework.
  • Develop governance plans, policies, frameworks, and methodologies under the global best practices, standards, and RTA’s strategy and plans.
  • Advice on governance initiatives projects to raise the degree of awareness and maturity within RTA to the best fit of institutional governance maturity models and under the international best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the provided services and correlate to RTA objectives, approved policy and model.
  • Advise in the alignment of the organizational development opportunities with Strategic directions of the whole organization based on sound analysis of internal strengths, and weaknesses and with consideration of external opportunities and threats.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain governance standards concerning the systems/applications that support the area functional teams and contribute to the area of business process management teams.
  • Mentor the development projects, about the defined business needs and international standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of the development & improvement plans to enhance and improve business performance and level of customer satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze the assessment results and define the potential areas of improvement in conjunction with the business and market needs towards increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Define core competency development and facilitate new standards and means of work that are necessary to support RTA agencies and departments.
  • Provide necessary support to all RTA Agencies and Departments by conducting effective analysis and assessment as needed.
  • Identify gaps between the current cultural environment and the environment needed for successful implementation of the business strategy in terms of improvement framework, processes and knowledge transfer.
  • Identify and articulate the type of working culture that is necessary to have a barrier-free environment in such a way as to facilitate the implementation of the intended strategy.
  • Identify key performance indicators for business processes that guarantee the achievement of the highest business performance and business objectives delivery.
  • Develop and conduct diagnostic organizational assessment tools and processes that measure the corporate governance adequacy and internal work culture within RTA to assess whether or not the existing environment is aligned with the needs-based articulated model.
  • Review and maintain the authority delegation manual, and ensure full alliance and compliance with regulations, policies, governance framework and defined roles and responsibilities at RTA.
  • Perform other responsibilities related to the position as appropriate

Education and skills

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Corporate Governance, or Management from a recognized University.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a large and active service organization.
  • Certification in Governance, risk and compliance (GRC), Project Management Institute-Risk Management
  • Professional (PMI-RMP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), PMP, and/or CIA certificates are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Kings Code, OECD governance aspects, and other governance maturity models.
